About the event
Video [WATCH]: 3 Reasons to Learn Improv
"NYC Gay Improv" is a six-week course where gay and queer men will feel comfortable and supported while learning the fundamental principles of improv. Together, you'll improvise in pairs and as a team to discover comedic patterns, play games, and heighten the fun. Experience the joy of creating spontaneously and learn how improv skills can enhance all aspects of your personal and professional life.
- Immediacy: Get out of your head! Release the anxiety of "what happens next" and be in the moment.
- Adaptability: Gain confidence navigating uncertain situations and pivot when facing change.
- Playfulness: Be free to express your silly side and have more fun. You'll laugh as much as you learn in this class.
- Friendship: Improv requires vulnerability and support that can bond classmates in meaningful ways. Plus, many students go out together after classes for drinks. Improvise, then socialize!
