About the event
Ever wanted to play the overly spiritual mechanic? A passive aggressive pirate? A microwave with too much confidence? This super fun two-hour Character Lab is all about creating bold characters and bringing them to a crescendo.
Through character-based improv exercises and scene work, you’ll explore voice, physicality, status, emotional commitment, and behavioral patterns to create characters who are ridiculous and surprisingly real. Learn how to make strong choices instantly, heighten recurring behaviors, and fully commit to the weird little entities your imagination invents.
Whether you love grounded realism or giant cartoon energy, this workshop will help you break out of your usual habits, take bigger swings, and discover characters you didn’t know were hiding inside you.
